Apprentice training scheme

The company does co-operate with the Government Apprentice training scheme but does not accept applications direct from intending candidates. Enquiries for employment under the scheme should be referred direct to the training agencies.

Graduate trainees: 

From time to time the company does have vacancies and is able to offer employment to graduates of British universities seeking to make a career for themselves in insurance broking.

Any applicant recruited would be expected to undertake a course of studies with the Chartered Insurance Institute.

These vacancies are normally advertised on the government Job Centre website.

Experienced insurance brokers:

The company is always anxious to hear from experienced insurance personnel especially those with a good record of obtaining new clients.

Whilst the company has branch offices in many parts of the UK, company representatives can also be located elsewhere in the country serving other areas.

Age is not a barrier to employment with the company and retired persons are welcome to apply. The candidate should however have a proven track record of securing clients. Bryan James & Co will not condone the breaking of restrictive covenants and will dismiss any employee not complying with such clauses.

Both full, or part time positions would be considered.

Commercial Account Handler (Leominster & Warrington office)

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to build up new portfolio along with managing and maintaining several business relationships we already have.

You will be working closely with other insurance professionals from other
branches of ours and liaising with underwriters to tailor policy that suits
your clients’ requirements.
